About

Welcome to Doggie-Zen, every dog's paradise! Here you can find toys for ALL dogs. It doesn't matter if you're small or big, soft-mouthed or the toughest tugger in town. You can even be the most hard-to-motivate dog, we guarantee that here you will find your new favorite toy.

Doggie-Zen is a family business established in 2008 by two sisters, Sara and Hanna. We started out as dog training instructors, specialized in training reactive dogs. Having good rewards has always been in the forefront in our courses, and we started to manufacture our own toys when we didn't find what we were looking for. One of our first toys was the Bungee Treat Chaser, a toy designed for Sara's Irish Water Spaniel Iris, who thought tugging was the most disgusting thing in the world. But with this toy Sara could gradually learn the food-crazy Iris to tug like a maniac. It is still the toy we recommend for food-driven dogs that don't like to tug.

Real fur

Our real furs are mainly sourced within Sweden, and we mainly use skins from animals living in the wild. It's very important to us that the living conditions of the animals are great. We prefer to use real fur from wild animals, such as beavers, badgers, wild boars, foxes, deer and moose. These are animals that live in the wild in Sweden. The selection of furs on offer will vary over time, depending on what we can get hold of. We have two exceptions from Swedish furs, and these are the raccoon tails, which come from wild raccoons in the US, and sometimes we supplement the Swedish beaver skins with skins from wild beavers in Lithuania.

Our rabbit skins come from Sweden. We mainly use skins from wild hares and rabbits, and in limited quantities skins from rabbits that have lived as family rabbits or on small farms, before slaughter where the meat and fur are used. These skins are very exclusive and are available in limited quantities. This means that we do not always have rabbit skin toys in stock. However, it is more important to us that the rabbits have had a good life, than to use cheap rabbit skins, where the rabbits live in very small cages under poor conditions.

The sheepskin comes from Swedish sheep. The skins are organically tanned. The cowhides and goatskin also come from Swedish farms.
